The Xaela was born in the harsh deserts of Othard to a sect of Kagon best known for their bi-yearly pilgrimage across the steppes between two cavernous dwellings using the celestial calendar and stars as their guide. A feet only performed at night due to the religious belief all Kagon share: To stand in the blinding radiance of Azim's gaze is sin, for the goddess Nhaama's moonlight is where all life is sacred and uncorrupted. A belief she still finds to be true, but has since abandoned to acclimate to new societal standards once her arrival was made to Eorzea's shores.

Throughout much if Esva's childhood, she was raised to follow the practicies of Shamanism; more importantly, how the people connect with the earth, stars, and spirits that influence their very lives. She has strong spiritual beliefs and will follow them to a strict code of mannerisms. She may use her abilities to heal wounds, be it through aetherical manipulation or apothecary pracitices. Esva comes with an intricate web of a past. From her assistance in uniting lost Erozean Xaela into one tribe, to falling in love with an amnestic Hyur who came with strong ties to Garlemald, and ending with an Ishgardian heist that scattered her allies to the wind. All of it she now avoids and runs from, be it from a lingering distain for her actions or lost allies looking to connect. Though, its almost certain a bounty or two remains on her head for the death of an Ishgardian noble knight if one digs deep enough. Perhaps you know of her actions or play a part in her lost tale?

'Witch' was often the title used to describe the Xaela by common folk. Whatever practices she may do remain secret to her alone. Though, it appears a will to correct all things unnatural seeps from her being. Voidsent, beasts, spirits, curses... all things she has been known to hunt or cast aside, often-times for little to no coin. A lifelong mission or a personal vendetta...? whatever the case may be, she will not hesitate to rid the star of whatever evils that may plague it.
